Players of the Week for October 11th

Two games were played last weekend as Camrose improved to 2-0 with a close 6-5 win over visiting Red Deer while Lacombe opened their home season with a convincing 9-0 win over Devon.

Here are my picks for POW:

Dylan Houston - Red Deer - 1-3-4

Mac Engel - Lacombe - stopped 30/30 to pick up the shutout.

Seven teams are in action this weekend:  On Saturday night.......... 

Morinville (1-0) travels to Lacombe to take on the 2-0 Generals.

Red Deer's (0-1) home opener sees a rematch from last weekend when the Camrose Crush (2-0) are in town.

Fort Saskatchewan hosts Westlock in their home opener - both teams are currently at 0-1. 

And on Sunday, Bonnyville plays their first game of the season at home against Red Deer.
