Week #4 of the season featured a couple of blow outs and a couple of close games.
On Friday, Devon hosted the Morinville Kings for their season home opener and came out on the short end of a 3-1 Kings win. The game was entertaining and without the efforts of Baron's goaltender Jordan Cooke and Kings tender Ty Swabb, the score might have been higher.
Both of the blowouts occurred on Saturday. Camrose took their unbeaten record to Bonnyville and bounced the Pontiacs 13-5, while Fort Saskatchewan again ventured out with just 11 skaters and took it on the chin 16-1 to the Rustlers in Penhold.
On Sunday, Westlock made the trek over to Bonnyville, where they ousted the hometown Pontiacs 4-1 with an empty netter.
The high scores made choosing the POW more difficult, but here they are:
Chris Rauckman - (RDR) - 5-0-5
RJ Reed - (CC) - 2-4-6
Kyle Harris - (MK) - 2-0-2
Honourable Mentions
Dylan Houston (RDR), Ryley Bennefield (CC) and Dillon McCombie (CC) were all 3-2-5.
Tim Vanstone (RDR) 1-4-5
McKenzie Mindus (WW) 1-2-3
Jordan Cooke - (DB) turned away 56/59 in a losing cause vs Morinville
For those who may have in interest in the career scoring leaders for the NCHL, under the CAREER LEADERS section, I've gathered some archeivial information and put them into tables showing the All Time Points, All Time Goals, All Time Assists, All Time Penalty Minutes, All Time Games Played, All Time Points per Season, All Time Penalty Minutes per Season as well as a link to the All time scorers that this website has tracked since 2014-15. These All Time records have some asterisks as we are still missing information from the formative years (1995-96 and 1996-97, as well as 2002-03 and 2003-04.
